Robert Nathan Edwards was one of three sons born to Katherine and William "Neal" Edwards. His twin brother did not survive birth, and is buried next to Nathan at the White Deer Cemetery, along with many other relatives.
Robert married Freeda Tucker, and they had no children.
Robert's father, Neal Edwards, was my grandmother, Cora Edwards Dallas' first cousin, their fathers were brothers. Their father's were born in Alabama and not long after their father was killed in the Civil War, the family came out West to Texas, first settling around Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Robert's father was born at Duncan in Indian Territory, later known as Oklahoma. Neal, his father, was a farmer and rancher, and owned land in the Panhandle of Texas.
Robert's only surviving sibling, Curtis LeVerne Edwards, was two years older than he; and had three children, some of whom (2017) still live in the area.
