James Anderson was one of 14,000 Confederate soldiers surrendered at Ft. Donelson. He was shipped North on a POW train bound for Lafayette, IN and died outside Crawfordsville, IN. He was buried in a unmarked grave at Old Town Cemetery in Crawfordsville. He was a Cpl. in the 32nd TN Inf.
