Fought in the Revolution with his father & his
son. All three were in Allen's Regiment of Vermont.

In about 1780, owned most of the land in Factory Point, which the proprietors gave him as a reward for erecting the first grist-mill. He also built a fulling mill, a saw mill, a distillery, a store and houses which he rented to employees.

He donated the land for the first Baptist Church to be built in Factory Point.

He set up Martin Mead in the first hotel in Factory Point at Manchester Center because "he liked a soft bed and swig of rum as well as the next man" (which of course would be his due as owner).

After Phebe died in 1780, Timothy wed Sarah Howes Burton. Apparently no children from this marriage. All 13 children were from the first marriage.

Was gored by an ox, and died a year later due to the injuries. Listed as a member of the Congregational Church of Pittsford, Rutland, Vt. as having died while a member.

Children: not shown below:
Tamsen Mead Austin (1759 - 1801 Dorset,Vt.)John Austin
William (1765 - )
Elthea Mead Wood (1773 - )Edmund Wood
Elizabeth Mead Cooley (1777 - )L. Cooley
