Attended Clemson University during the 1938-1940 school years.
On November 29, 1942, Davis was radio operator on B-24D #41-11912, assigned to the 10th Air Force, 7th Bombardment Group, 436th Bombardment Squadron. They were taking part in a bombing raid on Rangoon, and the plane did not return from the mission.
Davis was from Marion County, SC. He received the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
Because his body was not recovered, he is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing.
Davis is also memorialized in Lloyd Cemetery in South Carolina.
