MOUNT AIRY, NC ~ Mr. Adam John Beamer, 92, of Beamer Road, Mount Airy, widower of Mrs. Connie Mae Hemmings Beamer, passed away at his home on Saturday. He was born in Surry County to the late Luther and Mary Nail Beamer.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII, was a retired farmer and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a grandson, Darrell Beamer (Tori), of Mount Airy; two granddaughters, Deanna (Jimmy) McHone of Mount Airy and Christine Bissette of Raleigh; five great-grandchildren, Kacey, Drew, & Jake Beamer, Jacob & Ellie McHone; and a daughter-in-law, Diann Beamer of Mount Airy.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Beamer was preceded in death by a son, Jack Beamer; and a daughter, Nancy B. White.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Maple Grove United Methodist Church.
