Adeline Loretta Latt was born on July 29, 1914 at Thomas, South Dakota, to William and Wilhelmina (Bachman) Splinter. She married Joe Latt on November 6, 1937 at DeSmet, South Dakota. They farmed north of Castlewood until retiring in 1972 making their home in Watertown. Mr. Latt passed away on August 19, 1978.
Adeline entered the nursing home on June 30, 2006. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Women's Missionary Society. She enjoyed gardening, playing games, crossword puzzles and Birthday Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son, Steven; six brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Lana (Dale) Ronning of Watertown, Roger (Lois) Latt of Lake Norden and Darwin (Kaye) Latt of Castlewood; one sister, Annabelle Shank of Tumwater, WA; sisters-in-law Barbara Splinter of Tacoma, WA and Bertha Splinter of Lake Norden; seven grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and one step great-granddaughter.
Casketbearers were her grandchildren: Doug Ronning, Ricky Latt, Doreen Gebhart, Darin Latt, Linda Shamblin, Michele Latt and Justin Latt.
