Cathryn Baker Dudney, 79, of Overland Park, KS, passed away April 16, 2002, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002, at the Antioch Church of the Nazarene, 7600 Antioch, Overland Park, Reverend Don L. Bird officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is at the church from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening. For those wishing to donate, in lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Cathryn's memory for a special project at the Antioch Church.

Cathryn was born April 26, 1922, in Vivian, LA. She was united in marriage to Bennett L. Dudney on January 4, 1942. Cathryn was an example in her prayer life, her devotion to God, and as an encouragement to others. She also served as a partner in Christian ministry for over 50 years with her husband who served as pastor, missionary, and denominational leader in the United States and around the world. She was an active member of Antioch Church of the Nazarene.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Dr. Bennett L. Dudney, of the home, three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry Bond and her husband, Dr. Richard Bond, Oklahoma City, OK, Glenda Blacklock and her husband, Wayne, Pasadena, CA, and Bennye Kaye Wienecke and her husband, Stephen B. Wienecke, Olathe, KS, a sister, Nova Ledbetter, Pittsburg, KS, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. Wilson Baker and Elaine, Carthage, MO, and Bill J. Baker and Charlene, Ft. Worth, TX, a sister-in-law, Virginia Baker, Shreveport, LA, five grandchildren, Rev. Jeremy Bond and his wife, Becky, Jeanna Bond, and Kristen, Jennifer and Stefanie Wienecke. Cathryn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
