Tiger was a very out-going, mellow, playful, and patient cat. When I was a few years old, I would dress him up in doll clothes, booties and push him around in a toy baby buggy; this shows exactly how tolerant he was! Haha. He was one of my best buddies.
He was not like a lot of cats around strangers. Tiger was never known to be skittish, in fact, he'd jump up in a strangers' lap on arrival. He had a cool temperment; he wasn't scared of a thing. When grandma would start up the vacuum cleaner, the other cats would run for cover, but Tiger would get on it, and ride on it as grandma swept room-to-room. It is the funniest thing I've ever seen.
Here is a recollection of Tiger that sums him up: Tiger would sit on the deep freezer that our rescued bird's cage stayed on (it was put there so the bird could see out the window), and grandma always said he just did it because he wanted to eat Tweety, but one day Tweety got out, and perched on the outside of the cage, Tiger looked up from a nap, sniffed him, rubbed his cheek on Tweety, and layed back down. Maybe they really were friends like I thought! Tiger was a very unique kitty.
Tiger developped severe Kidney problems, and the vet said he believed it to be Kidney Cancer. Tiger was put to sleep, and buried in the pet cemetery.
