He was a lifelong resident of the Anacostia section of Washington, D.C. He worked many years with fathers firm, the S. M. Frazier coal and building materials company. He also worked for several other businesses which sold similar products including sand and gravel.
Like his father before him, he was also, during his entire life, noted for making donations to many folks down on their luck and during fund raising drives.
