Grant, Silas "Si" Grass Lake, MI (Formerly of Ann Arbor)
Age 79, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at his home in Grass Lake with his family at his side. He was born July 14, 1931 in Glensfork, Kentucky, the son of James and Molly Grant. Si retired from Hoover Ball Bearing in the early 80's. He was an avid hunter and gun show enthusiast, and was a member of the Chelsea Rod & Gun Club. Si enjoyed golf, fishing, and gambling. He had a good life and did everything he wanted to do. On September 26, 1953, he married Betty Ann Court in Ann Arbor, and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2004. Survivors include his two daughters, Carol (Fred) Miller of Columbia, KY, Paula (Pat) Link of Saline; son, Ken (Lisa) Grant of Grass Lake; five grandchildren, Lisa Calvert, Jodi (David) Hilberer, Josh, Jeremy and Austin Grant; and four great-grandchildren, Brittani DeSeive, Katelyn Calvert, Sarah and Stephanie Calvert; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Shannon Miller; siblings, Nora Hicks, Paul Grant, Ola Mae Pittman, and Alvin Grant. Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, August 2 at the Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery, Ann Arbor. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12-5 p.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel
