Wilton was the son of Andrew Jackson and Rose Louise WHITE Newton. The tail of his apron (dress) caught fire and he was burned. My mother, Wilton's aunt, was a teen-ager at the time. She said they were all standing around his bed waiting for the doctor when he threw up his hands and said, "Look, Daddy, pretty flowers." and he died. He was Jim and Alice Newton's first grandchild and very much loved by the whole Newton clan.
