Do You Know Me?
I am a fifth generation Texan and have been interested in family history for as long as I can remember. I was
interested in old family photo albums as a child, (prior to 1978, my grandmother's passing). I got my kick start in the late 1980's and early 1990's and began asking questions and writing letters. I love the research. I was the editor for our family newsletter for 2-3 years. I have been a guest speaker at the Fort Worth, Arlington and Irving Genealogical Societies, as well as MCGS. I have been with MCGS since around 1996 and have held various positions, i.e.: Vice President / Program coordinator, Cookbook Chair, Library Liaison, MCGS 25th and Anniversary Program Coordinator. I have written 5 booklets and done research in the Spanish American War records; Cash Entry-Land Records (before BLM went online); however, courthouse records and
documents research are my specialty. Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and Texas are a few of the States I have searched, along with England. My best discovery (not made by me, but by another researcher was a
WILL in an adjoin county that a collateral line had died without issue, therefore, it listed all of the relatives and gave identifying family
information. Do you know me?
