Madeline was the daughter of Edward Spath and Laura Anthon Spath; wife of George E. Yeagle; mother of Margaret and Dorothy; and brother of Edward.

Madeline was an active member of Hampden Baptist Church. She was a charter member of the Amoma Sunday School class when it was originated in 1906. Later she was president of the Y.W.A.SR. and first vice-president of the Philathea Class.
