Lyman C. Cole, 80, of 139 Winter St., died Dec. 15, 2005, at New Hampshire Veterans Home after a brief illness.

He was born April 4, 1925, in Haverhill, Mass., to Charles Cole and Gladys (Hunkins) Craik. He attended the former Tilton-Northfield High School.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association. After returning home from the Navy, he worked for many years in manufacturing. He was employed at Electro Circuits and ABC Fabricators of Laconia before retiring in 1992.

He had a chief interest in boatworking, and enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Webster Lake.

Family includes a daughter, Adrith Bicchieri of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Florence Lavin of Suncook and Joyce Audet of Florida; two brothers, Richard Cole of Hyde Park, Mass., and Charles Cole Jr. of Canton, Maine; his companion of several years, Joyce Chase of Northfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
