Mrs. Alice Linville Passed Away
at Home of Son in Marion Township.

Mrs. Alice Linville died Sunday evening about six o'clock at the home of her son, Charles Linville, six miles north of Shelbyville in Marion township. Her death was caused from a complication of diseases. She had been ill for the past six months and serious for about three weeks. the deceased was ninety-two years, eight months and twenty-seven days of age.
Mrs. Linville was born in England during the year of 1831 and came to this country when eleven years old. She settled at Columbus, Ohio. On March 30, 1854, she was united in marriage with Alfred Dobell. To this union three daughters were born. They are Mrs. Mary A. Brown, of Marion township, Mrs. Flora Linville, of Anderson, and Mrs. Union Brown, of Franklin county. Mr. Dobell was a veteran of the civil war and was killed in battle on July 26, 1861. On June 2, 1870 Mrs. Linville was married for the second time to Louis Linville. Two sons survive by this marriage, Charles, at whose home she passed away, and Elbert Linville, of Chesterfield, Ind. She also leaves to mourn her loss the following step-children, John Linville, of Union township, Lorenzo Linville, of Liberty township, George, of Anderson, and Mrs. Hester Nigh, of Hanover township, besides twenty-eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Little Blue River Baptist church Tuesday morning at ten-thirty o'clock. Interment will be made in the Bennett cemetery.
