Survivors: wife, Anna; daughters, Cindy Van Ranken of Andover, Jackie Piha of Douglass; mother, Sylvia Starns of Halstead; brother, Galen of Lyons; sisters, Irene Pierce of Newton, June Brock of Independence; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
