OBITUARY: RAYMOND CARPENTER DIES THURSDAY- Funeral services were held at Rotz Chapel Saturday afternoon for Raymond Carpenter, 69, who died last Thursday. He had lived in Florence recently but spent most of his life in the Cedar Point community. Interment was in the Cedar Point cemetery. Rev. G. I. Grenn was in charge of the services.
Raymond T. Carpenter was born on a farm near Cedar Point, January 14, 1892 and passed away January 26, 1961. His parents, Louis Henry and Cora Eve Carpenter, five brothers, Cecil, Ernest, Birdie, Lewis and Glen and two sisters, Dora and Pearl, preceded him in death. He leaves two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Florence Carpenter of Wichita, Mrs. Hazel Carpenter of Boardman, Ore.; two nephews, Delbert Carpenter, Boardman, Ore., Orville Carpenter of Unatilla, Ore.; five nieces, Bessie Craft of Wichita, Mrs. Leslie Clark, Peabody, Mrs. Homer Rutter, Mrs. Ruby Veach, Wichita and Mrs. Carol Cole of Great Bend and other relatives and friends.
