Clarkson "Buddy" Davis, 69, passed away May 11, 2011 in the comfort of his Harrisburg home surrounded by his loving and devoted family.

He received his formal education at the Scotland School, Scotland, PA, and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Caterpillar Inc., York, and was a member of American Legion, Post 733. His leisure activities included grilling, fishing and hunting.

Buddy was predeceased by his parents, Hardy and Marion Clark Davis; brother, Hardy Davis III; sisters, Doris Knight, Florence Spencer and Elizabeth Green. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Carrie Davis; daughter, Karen Turner (Antonio); sons, Aaron (Rachel) and Vincent Davis; sisters, Edith Dade and Marion Sellers; brother-in-law, Maxie Green; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three special daughters, Aretha Mayo, Yolonda Alderman and Rene Burston; other relatives and friends.

His life will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 17th, at Harris A.M.E. Zion Church, 915 N. 17th Street, Harrisburg, with viewing from 10 to 11 a.m., and interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
