|Birth: ||May 31, 1779|
|Death: ||Dec. 14, 1850|
The son of Henry W. Newcomer and Barbara Garber. Aged 71yrs. 6mos. 15 dys.
While trying to prove the maiden name of this man's wife, Anna, I went to dozens of websites, and found this one on google books, page 26 of the "Lineage Book - National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution" (published 1898):
It shows that an Anna Roher did marry a Christian Newcomer, but that Christian died 1832, and was in the War --- which was way too early for this Christian (born 1779) to be the husband of that Anna Roher. (I copied that page below).

Granddaughter of Malachi Snively and Elizabeth Newcomer, his wife.
Gr.-granddaughter of Christian Newcomer and Anna Rohrer, his wife.
Christian Newcomer, (1756-1832), served as a private under different commands 1n the Pennsylvania Continental Line. He was born in Lancaster Co., Pa.; died in Washington County, Md.
Christian's will, 1850 shows the following children: Abraham, Christian, Fannie (wife of Christian Meyers), Henry, Molly (wife of Michael Shoemaker), Nancy (wife of Jacob Sesher) and Peter. (I listed them alphabetically, not knowing their birth years at this time.)
