Evelyn H Pedersen, age 86, of Storm Lake, died Monday, January 26, 1998 at the Buena Vista country Hospital in Storm Lake following a brief illness. Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Presbyterian church in Storm Lake with Reverend Duane Queen officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday morning at the Storm Lake Cemetery.
There will be no visitation, the body has been cremated, and the Fratzke Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
Evelyn Hope Pedersen was born March 28, 1911 in Sac County near Odebolt the daughter of Wilbur James Perry and Harriet Mathilda Robinson. She graduated from Odebolt High School and attended Buena Vista College. She taught school in Clay County and was the Financial Secretary for Lakeside Presbyterian Church for 4 years.
She was married to George Milo Pedersen. Evelyn was a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church, UCT, Buena Vista Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, secretary/treasurer of the Storm Lake Parade of Flags, and the Lakeside Sewing Club.
She is survived by her children: Jack, Loretta, Georgea, Mike, and Carolyn; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Eldon W Perry and Henry Perry, two infant sisters, and an infant brother.
