Elza Paris was the eldest son of Isaac Newton & Ellen Viola (Priest) Waggoner. He married Maude Williams on September 2, 1900 in Martin County, Indiana.

Elza was Trustee & a school teacher of McCameron Twp., Martin County, Indiana for 18 years. He had many trades; carpenter, teacher & stone mason. He built the last one room school house in Culpeper Twp.(now Crane Naval Base), Martin County, Indiana.

Elza & Maude had 7 known children:
