Raymond, 93 of Byron, passed away at his residence on Thursday.

Funeral services were held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Bancroft on Monday, December 19, 2011.

Raymond was born at the family home in Byron on February 18, 1918, the son of Ralph & Pauline (Betterly) Love. He graduated from Durand High School in 1936. On July 24, 1939 he married Anna Arlene Smith. Raymond was a farmer and one of the founders of the Shiawassee County Historical Society, member of the Burns Grange, and the Gem and Mineral Society.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie (Dave) Dunwoodie of Byron, 3 grandchildren; Anastasia Ellwood of Argentine, Jeremy Ellwood of Grand Blanc, and Joshua (Mindy) Love of Byron, great grandchildren; Randilyn Knerr, Lukas Knerr, both of Argentine, Anita Love, Katie Love, and Megan Love, all of Bancroft, his sister Vivian Henry of Morrice.

He was predeceased by his wife, Anna, 2 children, June & Brian and brothers Kenneth & Harold.

Memorials are suggested to Shiawassee County Historical Society, Great Lakes Hospice, Antrim Baptist Church or Burns Grang
