Pfc. Daniel L. Farrell, a member of the Wyoming Army National Guard, was killed Friday when his rental car rolled on Highway 85 near Lingle.

Farrell, 45, was on active duty orders with the 115th Field Artillery Brigade. The brigade is participating in annual training at Camp Guernsey.

At the time of the accident, Farrell was returning to Cheyenne from Camp Guernsey after delivering training aids to the brigade.

The highway patrol said the rollover occurred around 12:45 p.m. at mile marker 107 north of Lingle. Farrell died at the scene.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.

"All of us in the Wyoming Army National Guard are saddened by the death of Pfc. Farrell," said Col. Gerald Luce, public affairs officer. "Although he was a new member of our organization, we thought of him as family.

"From the moment the Wyoming Highway Patrol notified us of the accident, we have been working to help Pfc. Farrell's family and unit members deal with this tragic loss. We wi ll do whatever we can to help his family during this time."
