On Nov. 3, 1989, she married Samuel Kearney in Leavenworth. He survives at the home in Nortonville. She is also survived by her children, Jason (Erin) Glenn of Topeka, Fawn (Chris) Gross of Baxter, Minn. Samuel Kearney Jr. of Mora, Minn., and Jessica Kearney of Nortonville; her mother, Jean Goetting; her siblings, Kenneth (Nancy) Goetting, Peggy (Sky) Harvey and Linda (Kenny) Blaski; and seven nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Deborah worked at the Leavenworth VA Medical Center. She retired as Chief of Medical Services with 35 years of service. She enjoyed camping was a Nascar fan, enjoyed needle, and was a K-State fan.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. after the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Easton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the ALS Association.
