Mary Shawn Brown Adkison, 38, of Keithsburg, died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at home.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Keithsburg Christian Church with the Rev. Charles Reynolds officiating. Burial is in the Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Visitation is noon until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born June 19, 1965, in Moline, a daughter of James C. and Mary E. Hasson Brown. She graduated from Westmer High School and married David J. Adkison Oct. 14, 2000, in Keithsburg.
Mary Shawn was most recently employed as a Nurses Aid at Aledo Health and Rehab Center. She was formerly employed at Casey's in Keithsburg and was a waitress and bartender at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Keithsburg.
She enjoyed shopping, swimming and collecting Beanie Babies.
She is survived by her husband, David; son, Carl Nash, and daughter, Ginger Nash, both of Keithsburg; parents, James and Mary Brown, Keithsburg; sisters and brother-in-law, her twin, Marie, and William Casey, Roscoe, Ill., and Rebecca Sampson, Sherrard; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Daniel and Deanna Brown, Aledo, Dustin and Jessica Brown, Orion. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dudley Brown.
