Leonard Franklin Carder, 72, of Grafton, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 in his home after a lengthy illness. He was born Friday, March 20, 1936 in Braxton County, West Virginia, living in Grafton 42 years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, working in security. He was employed by Larson Foundry/General Castings for 32 years as a molder, before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed playing guitar, working on old cars, and collecting old tools.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margaret; daughters, Deloris Santiago of Lorain, Rebecca Sebrill of Salem, and Marilyn Wilson of Medina; nine grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; brothers, Gary Carder, Kennard Carder, and Larry Carder, all of Glenville, West Virginia; sisters, Corene Jenkins of Wellington, Jenny Clark of Glenville, West Virginia, Debbie Kimble of North Ridgeville and Maxine Perry of Southern Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Carder; and sisters, Wanda and Betty.
