Eldon L. Hallows Sr. of Wilsonville IL.,59, died at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He was born in Alton to Eldon Lester and Emma (Hohnsbehn) Hallows. He married the former Sherry Crotchett on Jan. 9, 2005, in Carlinville. He retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service and went to work for RTA Bus Line in Dayton, Ohio, for ten years, until he retired in 1996. He was a member of the American Legion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Emma Albers of Wilsonville; two daughters, April Hallows of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Louella Hallows of Xenia, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Eldon and Lori Hallows Jr. of Cederville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Aryanna and Brynn Hallows; two stepsons, Jason Hargrave of Bunker Hill and Adam Hargrave of Cottage Hills; three stepgrandchildren, Justin Ventimiglia and Devon and Brandon Hargrave; three sisters, Ramona Maronie and Rochelle "Chelly" Moore, both of woodriver, and Leslie Schulz of Alton; and three brothers, Edwin L. Hallows of Wilsonville, Denzil McCollum of Bradenton, Fla. and Kim Albers of Anna, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Alita Albers.
