MUNFORD, TN - Artie S. Martin, 84, retired civil service employee, died Wednesday of lung disease at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Munford (Tenn.) Funeral Home with burial in Helen Crigger Cemetery. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Munford, where he was a former treasurer. He also was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Martin, the husband of Mildred Burk Martin, also leaves two daughters, Brenda Petty of Millington and Sylvia Gatlin of Fishers, Ind.; a son, Eddie `Bubba' Martin, and a sister, Agatha Rose, both of Munford; a brother, E.
