Philip BLEDSOE's Funeral Pending

Funeral arrangements are pending with Elliott's Funeral Home for former Abilenian Philip Darnell Bledsoe, 25, who was killed in a car wreck about 4 p.m. Wednesday in Albuquerque, N.M.

Details of the accident not unavailable.

Born Aug. 7, 1943, in De Ridder, La., he attended Abilene schools and graduated from Abilene High School in 1962 (actually 1961). He served three years with the Navy in the Mediterranean Sea.

He married Kayla Jan Dowdy, here Jan. 15, 1966 and was a member of the Abilene Emergency Service for six months. They moved to Albuquerque about two years ago where he was a salesman for Coca-Cola Food Company.

Mr, Bledsoe was a member of The Church of Heavenly Rest Episcopal here.

Surviving are his wife, of Albuquerque; his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bledsoe of 1202 Amarillo; two sisters, Clarie (and) Sharon Bledsoe, both of 1202 Amarillo.
