Birth: Feb. 24, 1840
Hessen, Germany
Death: Apr. 19, 1909
Rock Island
Rock Island County
Illinois, USA

Mrs. Gertrude Webber died at her home, 1627 Second avenue, at 11:20 this forenoon after a brief illness. She had enjoyed all her faculties and was in apparent good health till Saturday, when she was stricken with paralysis, from which she sank rapidly. A host of friends will mourn her passing.

Her maiden name was Gertrude Turk. She was born in Germany February 24, 1840, and came to this country and to Moline in 1861. The following year she was married to Martin Webber, who at one time conducted a meat market on Second avenue. He died thirty-six years ago.

Mrs. Webber, during her long residence in Moline, never moved off Second avenue nor out of the one block between Sixteenth and Seventeenth streets, though she had resided on both sides of the avenue.

Three children survive, all in Moline - Mrs. Fred Baas, Mrs. Oliver Livingston and Ben Webber. The funeral service will be held from the home at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.
