In an essay by Olga Peterson Snow about Andrew's sister Lena: "I am not sure where she (Lena) was born but I remember her telling of going fishing with her father on the Fjord. I also remember her talking about Trondhjem. She (Lena) came to America and Wisconsin when she was 21 years old (about 1863). Other members of her family also came. Her mother (Maren Johane) lived to be about 100 years and she died in 1911. A brother, Andrew, lived near Gilman Lutheran Church. I think they are both (mother and brother) buried there."
