Christopher George Coberley, 36, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Westcliff Bible Church of Amarillo with Steven Waterhouse, pastor, and Amarillo Police Chaplain Merrill Gilbert officiating.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Memory Gardens in Pampa with the Rev. Jim Powell, pastor of Hobart Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

Chris Coberley was born Dec. 21, 1968, in Pampa to Chancie and Nancy Margret Coberley. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1987, where he was active in the debate club and baseball team. Chris joined the Army in January 1988 and was trained as a Military Police Officer. He was stationed in Germany where he met his wife, Vera Hohmann, and they were married in 1991. After Chris's four-year tour of duty, they moved to Amarillo. Chris attended the 62nd Panhandle Regional Police Academy in 1992. He then went to work for the Randall CountySheriff's Office where he was a deputy for nine years. In 2001, Chris was employed by McCoy Meyers as a computer programer. He graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Survivors include his wife of Amarillo; a son, Harrison George Coberley of Amarillo; his mother, Nancy Margret Coberley of Wichita Falls; his

father and stepmother, Chancie and Iva Ann Coberley of Sunday Canyon; a sister, Lucretia Anne Stephens and husband, Shawn, of Snyder, Okla.; a brother, John Jeffrey Coberley and wife, Stacey, of Wichita Falls; a stepbrother, Alex Chancia and wife, Kristen, of Amarillo; a grandmother, Doris Coberley of Pampa; grandparents, W. C. and Doris Miller of Glenpool, Okla., and Bill and Betty Tedder of Abilene; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Brain Tumor Association or American Cancer Society.
