Birth: 1835
Clinton County
Ohio, USA
Death: Aug. 2, 1887
Gibson County
Indiana, USA

David is the son of Nicholas and Mary or May H (Graham) Burns. He was born in Clinton County, Marion township in Ohio in 1835. His family moved to Indiana between 1850 and
1860. The settled in Gibson County in White township.

He was a father of 4 children.
He passed away before his last two children were born a set of twins. His son survived but the twin girl did not. I guess he felt he needed to go and prepare for her coming home to him in heaven.
His Children are:
May Emma Belle Burns
Claude Duaval Burns
David Wesley Burns
Infant Daughter died at birth

He married late in life to his wife Mary Adeline Robb on 21 April 1885 in Gibson county Indiana at the age of 52 and died just 2 years later.

David served during the civil war was mustered in Oct 15 1864 and dischared on 9/18/1865. His tombstone is enscribed with the unit but, it is unreable except for company F and Infantry. (Private, Co. F, 42nd Ind. Inf.)
