MILLS--Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mills, 62, wife of the Rev. Charles H. Mills of 423 Walnut Court, died at their home Saturday after a brief illness. Mrs. Mills was a native of Houston, Texas [County, Missouri] and had made Jacksonville her home for the past 25 years [not sure if this is entirely accurate, as they are listed as living in Georgia in the 1920 US census]. Besides her widower, she is survived by two daughters, Miss Velma Mills and Mrs. G. A. Yates, both of Jacksonville, three sons, the Rev. William L. Mills, Ray R. Mills and James H. Mills, Jacksonville, one brother, J.C. Morris, Kansas City, Mo., and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today, in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Chelsea and Rosselle Streets, with the pastor, the Rev. F. C. Webster, assisted by the Rev. C. J. Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. Giddens and McEwen, funeral directors are in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Oeln[?] Smith, J. R. Hardy, W. R. Owen, H. V. Beugnet, Fred Thompson and Guy Flynt.
