Former Stuttgart resident Kelsey Malone House, 67, was presented his angel wings and his perpetual hunting license on March 9, 2012.

Kelsey was born Sept. 25, 1944, to Marion Allen "Snookie" House and Ethyl Elizabeth Kauffman House. He received the nickname "Scooter" as a baby and young child. He traveled with his work very often, but when he had down time you could most always find him at his hunting camp in Camden. Although he was never in one city for too long he would always return to that special place that he called home.

He was diagnosed in June of 2010 with Acute AML Leukemia and fought a long two-year battle with the cancer, and after extensive chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, the leukemia came back a third and last time.

He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Karly and Robert Townsend of Baton Rouge, La.; son, Cody House of Baton Rouge; son and his wife, Mark and Tara House of Connecticut; two granddaughters; four grandsons; four sisters, Marilyn Cantrell (Larry) of Batesville, Debbie Swan (Gary) of Roe, Nancy Turner of Stuttgart and Christy Maymon of Hemet, Calif.; five brothers, Bobby House of Little Rock, Kevin House (Tammy) of Thayer, Mo., Wayne House (Cloris) of DeWitt, and Eddie House and Troy House of Stuttgart.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethyl Elizabeth Kauffman House; father, Marion Allen "Snookie" House; and step-mother, Virginia L. Rutherford House.

There will be a celebration of life with friends and family beginning at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Roe Community Center in Roe. The family wishes that anyone that knew or went to school with Kelsey would come and celebrate his life with them.
