Rev. James WILLIAMS, son of William WILLIAMS and Nancy HAISLIP of Granville, North Carolina, and husband to Sarah ALLISON
James WILLIAMS came to Tennessee around 1808, first settling in Williamson County (1809), eventually relocating to the area he would name Civil Order, now called Chapel Hill. Here he built his home and many other successful enterprizes. He and his wife are both buried on the property now called the McCord Cemetery, Marshall County, TN.
Brother to Lucy Peace Williams, Daniel Williams of Civil Order/Chapel Hill, William Williams of Belfast and Henry Williams of Montgomery County.
