He was born in Wichita in 1916 to Will and Lenora (Delung) Drew. He ws a member of the Cherokee Nation and a graduate of Chilocco Indian School. He grew up in Kansas City, St. Louis and Tulsa and returned to Wichita during WW II to work in the aircraft industry.
Survivors: wife of 55 years, Edith Lucille Drew of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Alan Hemenway of Wichita; son and daughter-in-law, Lyndon and Tammy Drew of Wichita; grandson, Derek Drew.
