DIED.- Died at the hospital of St. John's Guild, on Thursday, December 18, 1879, Charles W. Watkins, in the 64th year of his age. His funeral will take place from the Church of the Good Shepherd this (Friday) afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
Mr. Watkins came to Raleigh from the North some four or five years ago, and by his consistent and upright life gained the confidence and esteem of all who knew him. He was faithfully cared for at the hospital, and passed away peacefully, with the blessed hope of a glorious immortality.
