My GG Grandfather
Army Co. B, 1 Reg't Ohio Cavalry on July 24, 1862 in Tuscumbia Alabama for 3 years.Alexander was found sitting on the ground, leaning against a tree, dead. He was about 59 at the time of his death. Some think he had been hunting and had stopped to rest - maybe had a heart attack. Most of the Bennich men in my family have heart disease, also a genetic eye disease is carried thru this line,(Drs. say males carry this gene, several have lost much eysight leading to being blind.
