Daughter of Benjamin Caviness and Mary Polly Fox. Born in Camden County Missouri. She married James Andrew McGuire in Camden County, Missouri.

Obit:
Margaret E. McGuire was born June 15, 1844 and departed from this life, January 27, 1928, being 83 years, 7 months, and 12 days old. She professed a hope in Christ about 55 years ago. She leaves six sons, four daughters, two sisters, and many friends to weep and mourn her departure from this world. We loved, oh! We loved her, but God has loved her and has called her from us, to his rest, beyond the sky, she is gone but not forgotten and we will meet her by and by. Burial services were conducted by Fred A. Bond. Text for the service was: Prov. 16-31. The hoary head is a crown of glory of the home. What a great blessing and influence for a good Christian mother is in the home. Second, there is the glory of the community; a loving, faithful Christian is a real blessing in the whole community. Third is the glory in the church. Oh! What a great blessing and benediction a devout Christian mother is in the church. Think of it, fifty-five years a Christian shedding her blessed influence on all who came within her circle. Then last and best of all is the everlasting glory in the hereafter. "Therefore are they before the Throne of God and serve him day and night, for ever and ever".
