Bitsey was our first dog after we got married. She was so small when we got her; she was just a little bundle of fuzz. So, we named her Bitsey. She was a mixed breed--probably had some poodle and terrier in her. As you can seen in the first photo--she wasn't too much bigger than a tennis ball when we got her. We kept her in a cardboard box in the kitchen with a heating pad under the blankets at night to keep her warm.

She loved to fetch a ball or frisby and take walks in the park. When we got a boat, she loved to go for boat rides and would stand on the bow of the boat looking around and sniffing the air. She was an excellent swimmer and loved to splash around in the water with us. She always slept next to me all curled up under the covers.

Sadly, she succumbed to old age and was gone from our lives too soon.

Our other good dogs:

Sparky,
Trazzy,
Ace
Lucky

Rest well Bitsey dog, we will see you over the Rainbow Bridge.

"It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them.
And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.

If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and maybe I will become as generous and loving as they are."
