Milbourne Lee Roy Butler, of Ft. Mitchell, KY, was born in Blanchet Station, Kentucky in Grant County on August 20, 1923 and passed away at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky in Kenton County on September 5, 2009 at the age of 86. He was the son of the late Leslie Marion and Zella Mae Scroggins Butler.

On March 26, 1948 he was united in marriage with the former Lucille Marie Neal. From this union two daughters were born: Melba L. Baur of Florence, KY and Valarie Kepler of Erlanger, KY. In addition to his loving wife and daughters, Milbourne is survived by five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Three brothers, Claude, Howard and Wilford and one sister, Lorena Hill all preceded him in death.

Mr. Butler was a member and deacon at the Greenview Baptist Church of Burlington, KY. He retired from the F.H.Lawson company in 1984. He served his country during World War II as a Staff Sargent in the United States Army.

Funeral services will be held at the Greenview Baptist Church in Burlington, Kentucky on Thursday, Seprtember 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday. Burial will be at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, Kentucky at 2:00 PM on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to Gideons International, P.O.222, Williamstown, KY 41097 or the Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, 803 S. Loop Rd., Edgewood,Ky 41018. Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 is in charge of the arrangements.
