Retha Chadwick Madison, 75, died Dec. 30, 1992 at the Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy.
Funeral services were conducted on Jan. 1 at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral chapel with Jerry Thompson officiating. Interment was in the Woodman Cemetery in Woodruff County.
Madison was born June 13, 1917 in the Bull Town community in Woodruff County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Daisy Gideon Chadwick. She was married Oct. 25, 1935 to Wayne O. Madison, who survives. She was a lifelong resident of Woodruff County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Frank Madison of Magnolia; one niece, Wanda Fraser of McCrory; two sisters, Louise Curbo of Patterson and Mellie Solida of Phoenix; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
