Birth: Oct. 2, 1816
Douglas
Worcester County
Massachusetts, USA
Death: Jan. 2, 1897
Waupun
Fond du Lac County
Wisconsin, USA

Warren Whiting was the son of Amos and Alcy (Chase) Whiting.

After leaving his parents home in Mass., he emigrated to Wisconsin, in 1846, first settling in Rock County. He removed to Fond du Lac County a few months later where he engaged in farming, eventually amassing 600 acres of land which he farmed and managed.

At the age of 26, Warren Whiting entered the ministry of the Free-will Baptist Church, and after preaching for a short time was ordained. He continued his ministry for 35 years, but, because of ill health, was forced to lay aside his ministerial duties.

He married (1) Lorinda Keith January 5, 1839, daughter of Lincoln and Submit Keith. He married (2) Ellen C. Ross-Norstraint. She died five months after her marriage to Warren Whiting, her second marriage. He married (3) Ellen O'Harrow. It is possible that Warren Whiting was married a fourth time.

Children of Warren Whiting and Lorinda Keith are:
1. Lydia Sophia Whiting
2. John E. Whiting
3. Alice Emroy (Emma) Whiting
4. Ethan Ellis Whiting
