Martin, Walter W. Age 87 of Athens, passed away on Thursday August 21. 2008 in Dallas . A native of Foreman, AR, he was a US Marine Veteran of WW II and was an accountant with Sun Oil Company retiring in 1983. Mr. Martin was a 32 Mason, member of the Roy Stanley Masonic Lodge and Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; parents Walter M. and Helen Lawrence Martin; brothers Edgar, Luther, Roger, Thomas, James; sisters Minnie, Mary Lou, Helen; and is survived by son Larry Martin and wife Rene; daughters Mary Anne Martin, Jane Joplin and husband Ron; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, other family and friends. Services 10:30 AM Tuesday in Eubank Memorial Chapel with Larry Negron officiating followed by interment in Payne Cemetery.
