The best boy...
Always so happy, always ready to play ball, always ready to go for a walk. Our first memory of him, the day we brought him home, he jumped in the creek and got caught in the current. He didn't get very far. We jumped right in and pulled him out. It was so scary at the time, but years later, we laughed about how happy he was to "play" in the water. He went on to have many happy years of playing in the creek.
He went into respiratory distress when he was 13, just weeks short of his 14th birthday, and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. He did not improve after being on oxygen for more than 24 hours and we had to say goodbye. His last memory was laying outside in the sun being hugged by his family and his tail wagged until the very end.
