The body of Gertie Bryant was interred in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery, Monday morning, following services earlier in the Walker Funeral Home in Jamestown. She died, July 1, in a St. Petersburg, Florida, hospital at the age of 83. She had been in ill health for several weeks.
A native of Lizton, she was born at the family homestead, Oct. 21, 1880, the daughter of the late Levi and Elizabeth Parker Groover. She was married in January 1902 to the late Charles Bryant who died in 1942.
She was a member of the Lizton Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Hurlbut, of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Helm, of Lizton, and Mrs. Effie Gossett. of Jamestown; a brother, Oder Groover, also of Lizton.
