John Gordon Streeter.. Born in Castleton, VT., son of Theron Streeter and Eunice Whipple

Served as Private Co.B, 2nd Vermont Infantry Regiment. Wounded at 1st Bull Run and Savages Station, VA. Discharged 29 Nov 1862 because of hand wound.

John G. Streeter, 84 years of age, died shortly before 12 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George M. Smith of West Main street, following an illness of several months from complications. He had made his home in North Adams for the past 12 years. He was born in Castleton, Vt., where he lived for many years. He leaves two sons, Harry G. Streeter and Ray Streeter of Glens Falls, N.Y., and three daughters, Mrs. E. A. Saville of Chestertown, N.Y., Mrs. E.T. Osgood of Davon, Conn., and Mrs. George H. Smith, at whose home he died. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed and will be announced later.

The funeral of John G. Streeter, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George H. Smith of 378 West Main street, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the house, with Rev. Harold S. Metcalfe of the Methodist church officiating. The body will be taken to Warrensburg, N.Y. Monday for burial.
