Aisha Boone was born in Chicago, IL on December 12, 1976 to parents Glenn and Tawanda Nettles. She was the second oldest in their big rambunctious family. She was especially close to her sister Tanessa. Growing up they shared all sorts of escapades with their brothers and even as adults they were together so much that people thought they were twins. Aisha was quick witted, clever, sweet and playful, but she was never afraid to speak her mind about anything, especially Bible truths.
She loved Jehovah her God practically from infancy, and at age 12 she decided to dedicate her life to him. She symbolized her dedication through water baptism at the Romeoville Assembly Hall on May 21, 1989.
Anyone who knew Aisha loved her because of her warm, funny, cheerful personality and beautiful smile. She made friends from all over the Midwest and was always willing to give of herself and to lend a helping hand, she touched many lives.
Aisha loved skating, salsa dancing, cooking for her family and bricklaying which she learned from working on Kingdom Halls with the Regional Building Committee. That is how she met her dear husband Marcus Boone. In 2006 while working together on his Kingdom Hall he fell in love with her spiritual focus and was smitten with her unique combination of beauty and rugged, hardworking dirtiness. They courted and were happily married on May 17, 2008 at the very Kingdom Hall they worked on.
Sadly Aisha fell asleep in death on Friday, December 17, 2010, but close in her heart was her steadfast belief in the Bible's promise of a new world. It is the hope she shared with everyone that she came in contact with. She looked forward to the end of all suffering, death and pain (Revelation 21:3, 4). She cherished God's promise of a peaceful new world and the hope of seeing dead loved ones brought to life again (John 5:28, 29).
Precious to her was the upcoming birth of her little niece, Erin. Cherishing her memory always is her husband, Marcus (mother-in-law Mary); parents, Glenn and Tawanda; sisters, Deidra and Tanessa (James); brothers, David, Paul and Jonathan (Brandi); grandmother Lillian; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and tons of special friends and adopted family.
