According to his Washington State death record, George was the son of James McCulloch and Mary Beale. He married Alice Scaman on Feb. 6, 1901 in King Co. Washington.

He died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis at Firland Sanatorium.

"Funeral Rites Take Place For Dr. McCulloch

With his friends, members of his profession, serving as pallbearers, funeral excercises were held at 11 oclock this morning in the Bonney-Watson chapel for Dr. George B. McCulloch, 70 year old pioneer Seattle physician and founder of the Children's Orthopedic Hospital. Dr. McCulloch died Thursday at Firlands Sanitarium after a prolonged illness. Cremation will follow services.

The specialist came in this city prior to the fire of 1889 and has since devoted his efforts to study and care for children's diseases. After establishing the Orthopedic Hospital, Dr. McCulloch served as a staff physician.

Active pallbearers were Drs. F. V. Von Phul, C. A. Smith, Montgomery Russell, Richard O'Shea, C. B. Ford, Curtis Thompson and C. w. Sharples.

Surviving Dr. McCulloch are his widow, Mrs. Alice McCulloch, residing at the family home 1516 Federal Ave., and two sons, Beal and Theodore."
